The Environmental Health Association of Québec (ASEQ-EHAQ) is a national charitable organization founded in 2004 to support people living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) across Canada.

We work to address the often invisible barriers faced by individuals whose health is affected by everyday environments. For people with MCS, common exposures such as fragrances, cleaning products, building materials, and workplace chemicals can make access to healthcare, housing, employment, education, and public spaces extremely difficult. These barriers are frequently misunderstood or overlooked by systems that are not designed with environmental accessibility in mind.

ASEQ-EHAQ supports individuals and families through education, resources, and advocacy, while also working at a broader systems level to improve awareness, policies, and practices. Our work includes developing practical guidance for institutions and service providers, engaging with policymakers, and creating spaces where lived experience, research, and professional expertise come together.

A central part of our approach is ensuring that people with lived experience are heard, respected, and involved in shaping solutions. We place a strong emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion, recognizing that experiences of disability are shaped by gender, age, income, geography, and social identity.

Through national initiatives, collaborative research, public education, and international knowledge-sharing, ASEQ-EHAQ works to reduce isolation, strengthen understanding, and contribute to healthier, more inclusive communities for people living with MCS.
