April Gloaming Publishing is a non-profit corporation and shall be operated exclusively for literary and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

April Gloaming Publishing is a publisher of Southern authors and artists, making their works available globally. Beyond publishing books by emerging literary voices, we further the outreach to our community by offering services to the public that enhance literature and literacy. We conduct workshops, symposiums, and reading/writing events that allow community members to engross themselves in literature and learn more about writing, the publishing process, and give exposure to community writers who may not otherwise have opportunities. We work alongside public schools and universities to foster a community of young people to pursue writing, either professionally or as a hobby, and hold writing contests wherein youth writers have an opportunity to be published. Our goal is to strengthen exposure to literature as a whole in our community and the nearby region with the purpose of adding the valuable asset of literature as an art form and strengthening its effects on community members’ lives.

To maximize our impact, we also offer volunteer internships to local college students in order to garner experience in the book publishing world, which has a great impact on their future professional careers. These internships provide students with experience in editing, proofreading, graphic design, advertising, social media, marketing, and event planning.
