Crowe's Nest Farm, Inc.
About us
Crowe’s Nest Farm is a 501C3 non-profit working educational farm founded in 1983 by Dr. Diane Crowe, retired teacher and principal of 43 years. The farm is dedicated to fostering public appreciation, knowledge and wise stewardship of the agricultural and wildlife resources of Texas. The farm is located on 100 acres in Manor, Texas and provides Austin and central Texas area school children, with innovative educational programs through hands-on, life science learning. Many of our visitors are inner-city students who have never experienced the intellectual stimulation of a farm or nature habitat. In 2023, twenty public school districts and over ninety private schools from eight different counties brought over 40,000 students to the facility. Through the children’s observation of over 200 animals and informative exhibits such as the dairy barn, farm animal and wildlife enclosures, coupled with 30 theme gardens and nature trails, teachers are presented a tremendous opportunity to enrich their science curriculum. Crowe’s Nest Farm provides a unique learning experience that has become one of the major outdoor education facilities of central Texas.
