About us
The Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL) is an animal welfare and care provider recognised for the provision and development of services for animals in need. Established in 1964, the AWL operate South Australia's largest animal shelter at Wingfield, as well as an additional shelter at Edinburgh North, caring for and re-homing lost, surrendered and abandoned animals, around 12,000 per year. The AWL is proud of its contribution in providing a high quality animal care facilities and related services to the state's animals, their owners and the broader community.
