Founded in 2016, Animal People Alliance Inc. is dedicated to improving animal welfare and empowering local communities through sustainable, community-driven initiatives. ​In Kolkata, India, our mobile animal ambulance delivers critical street treatment services for injured and sick animals directly in their neighborhoods, working alongside local caregivers. We provide life-saving treatments, administer rabies and parvo vaccinations to every animal we treat, and organize mass vaccination programs to combat preventable diseases. At the heart of Animal People Alliance’s mission is our commitment to community empowerment. We recruit, hire, and train individuals from the local areas where we operate, creating employment opportunities and building diverse teams. Over 75% of our staff are women, many of whom come from marginalized communities and have overcome significant challenges to achieve their success with APA.
