The Albury & Border Rescue Squad is a volunteer organisation operating 24/7/365 and is a member of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Service (V.R.A.) who is a registered not-for-profit charitable organisation with the majority of funding coming from public donations. It is the Albury and surrounding districts Primary Accredited Rescue organisation under the NSW State Emergency and Rescue Management Act and is an organisation solely comprising of volunteers with over 60 affiliated search and rescue squads throughout New South Wales.
