About us
Located in Oak Park, IL the African American Christian Foundation (AACF) has served the community since 1985, launching workforce development programs in 1995. As a licensed vocational school, we offer apprenticeship training in high-demand careers such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Pharmacy Technician, preparing students for stable, meaningful employment.
We proudly serve low-income adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, single parents, youth ages 16–24, veterans, disabled adults, and returning citizens. Our holistic approach includes hands-on training, job readiness, supportive case management, transitional housing, and career placement services—ensuring participants have the tools and stability to succeed.AACF doesn’t just provide education; we provide hope, dignity, and the wraparound support necessary to break cycles of poverty and build lasting independence. But we can’t do it alone.
