Recovery International was founded in Chicago in 1937. We are a 501(c)(3) mental health non-profit. We teach peer-led self-help groups that teach the cognitive behavioral techniques of our founder, neuropsychiatrist Abraham Low, to manage the symptoms caused by everyday stressors. We have 200 meetings per week through Zoom, telephone, and in-person, throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, and in other locations throughout the world. While we request donations, no one is turned away from attending our meetings based on ability to contribute.
