The Nepean Valley club has been active for over 25 years providing: 1.International support through: •the provision of Birthing kits to provide hygienic support for mothers and babies in African countries •'Days for Girls' kits to assist girls during menstruation so they can continue to attend school and work •medical support for fistula correction in Liberia •providing education in Niger to delay early marriage •supporting education for girls in Madagascar •assisting to decrease human trafficking and unsafe migration in Nepal 2.Local support through: •the provision of breast cushions for women recovering from surgery •leadership in anti-violence strategies through White Ribbon Day •providing local education scholarships for young women and girls in: o Child Development at Western Sydney University; o Work skills at TAFE, o Secondary education in STEM [science, technology, engineering, maths], Performing Arts, leadership o Indigenous participation in Higher School Certificate
