We are Australia's first charity specific to the needs of women and their partners experiencing early pregnancy loss and infertility. 1 in 3 women will experience a miscarriage in their lifetime, 1 in 6 couples are currently struggling to conceive. We provide them with the meaningful connections, empathy & understanding they deserve to support their emotional wellbeing. After hearing the words 'I'm sorry there is no heartbeat' for the 2nd time our co-founder Sam Payne decided support was needed together with Gabbi she set about creating The Pink Elephants Support Network, together they are on a mission that no woman should walk the journey of miscarriage or infertility alone. Through online support communities, a peer reviewed website that hosts central reliable information inclusive of our online resources. We support different stages of grief and loss as well as preconception and pregnancy after loss and offer a personalised peer support service connecting women to other women who have been through loss. The Pink Elephants has support to cate for all women experiencing miscarriage and infertility, we validate your loss matters and that's it ok to grieve the loss of your baby. In the elephant community if a mother elephant loses her baby the other elephants form a circle of support around her, each placing their trunks on her in a silent unwavering show of support.
