During this emergency our services are already stretched and we envisage an extremely busy time for our vets and nurses once we are out the other side of COVID-19, when the economic reality hits home, and more and more families need to use our facilities. Our service is available to those on benefits, who cannot afford private veterinary care. We have 40,000 patients who visit our clinics across the city, helping Families who would otherwise find the cost of veterinary care prohibitive. We promote responsible Pet ownership through neutering, microchipping, and vaccination programs. The Irish Blue cross also provides education programmes about Pet welfare, through free talks to Schools & Youth Groups. We also provide a Horse Ambulance service at every race meet, at every course, in Ireland. We are trying as best we can to keep our services open for sick pets who need it the most. In this, our 75th anniversary this year we were hoping that it would be one of celebrations.
