The HEB Foundation’s (THF) mission is to decrease/eradicate gun violence and we aim to accomplish this primarily through gun violence prevention initiatives. THF serves the community by providing seasonal material relief, educational programs, economic development, and social reconstruction. THF provides families with the tools needed to address gun violence prevention in their homes, relationships, and neighborhoods. THF was founded on November 1, 2018, due to the death of Raghib Brooks by gun violence. Our target demographic is low-income families in the Hampton Roads Virginia area most likely to be affected or who have been affected by gun violence.
