The Ferret Firm – Ferret Rescue & Sanctuary

The Ferret Firm is a nonprofit ferret rescue and sanctuary based in Mobile, Alabama, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for ferrets in need. Many of the ferrets that come to us are owner surrenders, medical cases, or bonded groups that would otherwise have nowhere safe to go.

Our mission is to ensure every ferret receives proper nutrition, enrichment, veterinary care, and a safe environment where they can thrive. While some healthy ferrets may eventually be adopted into carefully screened homes, many of the ferrets in our care are special-needs or senior ferrets who remain at our sanctuary for the rest of their lives.

Currently, The Ferret Firm cares for over 40 rescued ferrets, each with their own story and unique needs. Daily care includes specialized diets, regular veterinary treatment, enrichment activities, and maintaining a clean and safe habitat designed specifically for ferrets.

Community support plays a vital role in our work. Donations help cover essential costs such as veterinary care, food, bedding, cleaning supplies, and habitat improvements. Through education, outreach, and rescue efforts, The Ferret Firm works to improve the lives of ferrets while helping owners learn responsible ferret care.
