Debra’s ovarian cancer journey began with symptoms that were easy to overlook. Her diagnosis changed her life and placed extraordinary demands on her faith, her family, and her strength.

Through God’s grace and the care of dedicated medical professionals, Debra survived. That experience inspired a clear purpose: to help ensure that no woman faces ovarian cancer without support, information, and hope.

Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded from that purpose. Today, it carries forward Debra’s commitment to awareness, early detection, compassionate guidance, and lifesaving support.

Our Mission

Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer exists to ensure that women and families affected by ovarian cancer receive the guidance, education, and support they need.

Our work is focused on three core areas:

Patient Shepherding

We provide personal guidance for women and families as they navigate diagnosis, treatment, emotional needs, and next steps.

Education & Awareness

We promote awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and the importance of timely medical attention, helping women recognize concerns earlier and seek care sooner.

Providers

 We support healthcare providers with resources that strengthen education, improve early recognition, and help connect patients with meaningful support.

The Shattered Glass Initiative

 When cancer affects a family, caregivers often carry a significant emotional burden. Through the Shattered Glass Initiative, Teal Ribbon supports the family members, spouses, and friends who stand beside patients throughout the journey.

This initiative provides caregivers with practical resources, emotional support, spiritual encouragement, and meaningful community connection.
