Texas Animal Progress Newsletter is a source of animal news, stewardship information, and resources. TAP's purpose is to distribute information about humane best practices in animal welfare to assist in creating safe, thriving, and healthy communities. Education, collaboration, and awareness will reduce animal cruelty in consideration of "The Link." FBI data has proven that 77% of animal cruelty is co-occurring with interpersonal violence, mainly domestic violence, child abuse and elderly abuse. The State of Texas is currently ranked the #1 state in the nation for most prominent animal cruelty. TAP is a champion and advocate for the most vulnerable members of our society. TAP also advocates for mental health, first responders, increases awareness of compassion fatigue, and cares deeply about all animals; livestock, wildlife, and domestic companion animals. This publication needs funding to grow and reach a greater audience.
