For over 25 years, Swamp has been building and maintaining off road cycling trails to keep them safe for our community. To date, we care for over 100 miles of off road trails in 5 parks and preserves and are currently building in Pinellas County. We are 99% volunteer driven and get our support from event fundraising, community grants and membership. We are the greatest support for park personnel, keeping them aware of areas of concern in our forests and parks. We also support a national organization, National Interscholastic Cycling Association, which works with high school and junior high students mountain bike racing teams. Generated funds are put back into the trails with the use of tools and natural surface materials to repair areas of need. We currently need a tractor to maintain several miles of path used for emergency vehicle passage when medical assistance is needed trailside.
