Smiling Angels International is a nonprofit organization that offers services for children in areas with limited dental services. The organization focuses on treating and educating children and young adults by bringing Dental office services to their locations. Services offered will be equivalent to services provided in any Dental office while focusing on educating the patients about preventive care. The organization was established in 2018 by two Georgia dentists, and from 2018 until 2020, when COVID hit, we provided over 1300 dental procedures. During this time, our missions were funded by the founders and supported by Colgate, Henry Schein, and Fortis College. After COVID-19, we paused our missions and started working with dentists in Egypt to help provide dental services, as the cost of operating the missions is significantly lower than in the United States. Recently, the organization was awarded a special Consultative status with the United Nations as our vision is to increase preventive dental care awareness worldwide.
