The Saco Food Pantry’s mission is to relieve the problem of hunger in its community by providing for local residents in need. The organization helps to fill the gaps that remain in spite of government programs. It also helps people who may not qualify for government aid but nevertheless have temporary financial problems which make it difficult for them to provide enough food for themselves and their families. The Pantry gives short term and intermittent help to many, as well as long-term aid to those who continue to struggle.
