Portland Street Art Alliance’s mission is to advance street art culture by empowering artists to activate the spaces where we live, work, and play. As an Arts Education organization, PSAA serves thousands of community members each year educating the public about the history and significance of public art. PSAA serves hundreds of emerging and established artists in the creation of public work for general public view and programming. We make street art more accessible by providing educational programming, interpretive tours, and community events for children and youth. PSAA is actively transforming the public art landscape by developing more inclusive place-based programs, including at-risk houseless youth through partnerships with p:ear and Ground Score Association. PSAA has facilitated commissioned work resulting in over $2 million paid to working artists and managed nearly 600 private and publicly-funded art projects, collaborating with hundreds of artists in the region.
