Plant High Rowing Association (PHRA) is a nonprofit organization that empowers Tampa-area youth through the sport of rowing. We serve nearly 100 high school athletes each year, offering a nationally competitive and inclusive program where no student is turned away due to financial need. Our mission is to build character, discipline, and resilience both on and off the water—developing not only skilled athletes but future leaders.
Our rowers train year-round, combining early morning practices on the Palm River with strength and endurance training on land. PHRA is entirely self-funded—we receive no support from the school, city, or state. Our budget depends on registration fees and the generosity of community donors.
