Paws for Hope and Understanding
About us
Our goal is to provide TASKED TRAINED Service Dogs to defence and emergency services personnel as we can. We aim to change the lives of these service personnel by providing dogs that help them transition from combat or high stress environments to general society. We provide TASKED TRAINED Service Dogs to ex members of the Defence Force/First Responders at minimal cost, who meet OUR eligible standards. All dogs will commence if possible, at 8-10 weeks up to 3 years, all potential dogs are temperament tested, before they can commence training with the clients
Also our Resolute-Personal Recovery System which is an integrated program designed to assist former and current serving defence and emergency service responders, who have been traumatised in the line of duty. Post-traumatic stress, has recently been redefined as a traumatic brain injury (TBI)and not a disorder. This distinction therefore lends itself, to the concepts of treatment and rehabilitation, using a variety of strategies that promote improvement
