Our organization was founded in order to serve the two most at risk groups in our communities and municipal shelters today, kittens and senior companion animals. Our kitten nursery, when completed, will be equipped to care for bottle babies as well as mommas with babies and everything in between. Our rescue center and sanctuary, currently under construction, will provide a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for those companion animals in need of medical care or rehabilitation prior to adoption or just a quiet place to retire. Our organization is 100% volunteer based and is funded by private donations and grants. We have 126 acres in Snowflake where our dedicated volunteers are building our rescue and sanctuary facility. Our primary focus is the rural communities within Apache and Navajo Counties where there are little to no animal welfare services available. We serve an underserved population who genuinely want to provide the best for their companion animals but often cannot do so because of a lack of resources, money or both and so often times when these animals become ill or injured, or there isn’t enough money to buy food for them they are turned loose to fend for themselves or are euthanized at home without the aid of veterinarian. Although we remain true to our original mission, we recognize a greater need at this time within our community. We want to be that resource that is so desperately needed here and step in before the situation becomes desperate and offer aid to the members of our community struggling with providing care to their companion animals.
