Northamptonshire Domestic abuse Service supports survivors of domestic abuse irrespective of their gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, religious belief, or sexual orientations. This is primarily achieved by providing emergency accommodation for those fleeing abuse in one of nine refuges across the county. Clients within our refuges receive person centred support and guidance to enable them to rebuild their lives after domestic abuse. Ultimately, to develop the tools to avoid possible abusive relationships in the future and help them heal from negative coping mechanisms. We work closely with other agencies to determine risks facing victims of domestic abuse and on aspects of safeguarding for children and young adults. We also offer our services as outreach programmes and groupwork in the community and online courses for individuals, families, children and for professionals. As well as an advice support line and social media presence.
