“Light in Their Second Chance”

Lumina Animal Rescue is a registered not for profit charity based in South East Queensland, dedicated to giving vulnerable animals the second chance they deserve.

We rescue animals from council pounds, including those at risk of euthanasia, as well as animals that have been surrendered or have experienced neglect, abuse, or mistreatment. Our mission is to provide every animal with the safety, medical care, and compassion they need before finding them a loving, permanent home.

Every animal that enters our care receives comprehensive veterinary treatment, including microchipping, vaccinations, desexing, and routine parasite prevention. Where additional treatment is required, such as dental procedures, orthopaedic surgery, or ongoing medical care, we ensure these needs are addressed before adoption whenever possible.

Our animals are cared for in dedicated foster homes, where they receive love, socialisation, and the opportunity to adjust to family life while we learn about their personalities and individual needs. This allows us to carefully match each animal with the home best suited to them, helping create successful, lifelong adoptions.

At Lumina Animal Rescue, we believe every animal deserves kindness, dignity, and the opportunity to start again. Through the support of our volunteers, foster carers, adopters, and community, we are committed to being the light in their second chance.
