I am a one-woman hedgehogs-only rescue newly started in Northamptonshire after finding several too small to survive winter in autumn last year in my garden. I devoted time and money to learning as much as I could as rapidly as possible and opened in December last year. Since then I’ve helped over 80 hedgehogs, have full veterinary support, and have invested in a lot of necessary equipment in order to provide the best standards of care and give them every chance to be successfully released back to the wild. I’m entirely reliant on kind donors to keep the rescue running day to day, but would love to move the hogspital out of the house into a purpose built insulated building in the garden, with more space for the hedgehogs and everything needed for their care.
