Ky. Sheriffs' Boys Ranch Trust
About us
The Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys & Girls Ranch is a non-profit, Section 501(c)(3) organization, sponsored by Kentucky Sheriffs and serving children between the ages of 8 and 11 by providing a summer camping program designed to build their self-esteem, moral character and teach them to respect themselves, others and law enforcement professionals. The Ranch is located in Gilbertsville, Kentucky, and is set on 33 acres of land, complete with a small pond, rolling hills, wooded areas, a swimming pool, gymnasium, playground…a perfect setting for a camp!
The camp is offered to boys and girls from throughout Kentucky at no charge. These children could not otherwise afford to go to camp...for many they would not have a vacation of any type were it not for the Ranch. Sheriffs in each Kentucky county are allotted both boys & girls (alternating boys one week and girls the next) throughout the six (6) week camping season. Not only do the Sheriffs seek and select children from their county; but they also transport the children to and from camp, whereby costing the children and their families nothing for their child to attend.
