At the Humane Society of Calvert County, we believe every dog deserves a second chance. As a nonprofit, foster-based rescue, we work tirelessly to save dogs from local shelters and difficult circumstances—many of whom are facing uncertain futures.

Once in our care, each dog receives the medical attention, safety, and love they need to heal and thrive. Through our network of dedicated foster families and volunteers, we get to know each dog’s unique personality so we can match them with the perfect forever home.
