Home Free Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Red Bank, NJ. Fosters and volunteers are the backbone of this Rescue! We are a small rescue who roots for the underdogs. We pull the dogs that nobody else wants…..the pit bulls, plain brown wrappers, black dogs, special needs and seniors. Whether it be a 10 year old senior black lab mix with a white face or a three month old hound mix. We work within our local communities with owner surrenders, spay/neuter education and offer a Senior for Seniors program. We pull a majority of our rescues from the URGENT list in the south to help alleviate the large population of animals being housed in high kill shelters - usually minutes before their time is up. Being a responsible rescue, we need to provide each and every animal with the proper vetting and monthly preventatives which can be VERY expensive. Many of the dogs we pull are heartworm positive or other types of parasites. Sadly, some come up with severe medical issues such as anemia, mange or in some cases, kidney failure or parvo. We saved them from being put down and owe it to them to keep them safe and healthy. Again, we are a small rescue, and providing this care can be very costly and a challenge at times. Especially in addition to all of our normal operating expenses (i.e. Transport, foster support, training and temporary boarding). Receiving funds would help us cover our extensive expenses and allow us to do more of what we do best……saving lives.
