About us
In 2018 we started a small school in the village of Kapchorwa, Uganda up in Mt Elgon. There had never been a school in the village and the mostly Muslim community was illiterate. People were hopeless & the poverty is serious. Most people live in Huts with tin roofs. All our are subsistence farmers . I had the opportunity to visit and caught the vision that God had given the Director. To build a school and a church and bring the community together. Under Christian values & beliefs.. We began fundraising and fast-forward we now have a sweet little 10 classroom school - King's Royal's Jr School. The kids are getting a Christian education. And education means opportunity. We have a Headmasters office and a kitchen, several Pit latrines and many hand washing stations. Many Muslims have changed to Christianity. I go once a year taking teams and we bring school supplies and music and art. We recently brought in solar electricity and had three Wells dug so they now have freshwater! Right now, we are trying to raise $17,000 to build three permanent classroom structures.
We are also trying to raise $3000 to buy several sewing machines and start a small sewing program teaching sewing as a trade.
It's a beautiful thing seeing this cohesive community, that have now come together as the school as their focal point & they rely on one another.
I am proud to be part of this project.
