Rooted in Philadelphia's rich Black cowboy history, Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club provides young people with a safe space to learn, grow, and build confidence through horsemanship, mentorship, and community. For generations, our horses have been more than animals—they've been teachers, companions, and a source of healing. At Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club, we believe every child deserves access to opportunities, experiences, and spaces where they feel safe and supported. Many young people in underserved urban communities don't have access to horses, outdoor recreation, or exposure to careers in animal care and agriculture.

Our stables offer more than a place to ride. They provide a safe haven where kids can connect with animals, build friendships, develop life skills, and discover new passions and career possibilities. Most importantly, it's a place where young people can belong, stay engaged, and find positive alternatives to the challenges they face on the streets.

We're preserving a legacy while creating opportunities for the next generation of Philadelphia's youth.

Ride Together, Rise Together!
