Daughters of Worth provides trauma-informed, comprehensive services for girls and women who are victims of trafficking and exploitation. Serving on the front-lines, Daughters of Worth is often the first phone call when a victim of trafficking is seeking to escape from her trafficker. Our Operations and Relocation Team immediately conducts assessment, safety planning, and the support necessary to ensure that survivors can make a successful exit. Upon coming into our care, she will receive emergency crisis stabilization, which includes shelter, medical care, food, clothes, hygiene items, and other basic essentials. Additional services such as case management, care coordination, advocacy, and documentation recovery are provided, while we begin to coordinate her long-term relocation for a trauma-informed, restorative safe home throughout the country. Once she has stabilized and is ready for the next stage of her healing journey, our team refers, coordinates, and implements the relocation to a long-term safe home, typically out of state, where she will have the opportunity to receive the full services needed to empower her for independence and sustainability.

In addition to providing direct services, Daughters of Worth also provides Empower Her prevention education to hundreds of girls each school year throughout participating schools in Pitt, Beaufort, and Martin Counties.

Our outreach services includes the Hope Rising Drop-In Center where ladies are able to visit and receive a small meal, hygiene items, clothes, and access to chromebooks for workforce and/or educational purposes. Daughters of Worth also partners with Pitt County Detention Center and the Beaufort County Detention Center to provide weekly empowerment sessions and screenings for women who are incarcerated, in effort to ensure that every woman has full access to services needed. Additional services are also provided to Epic Pregnancy Center at their locations in Kinston and New Bern.
