For more than a century, Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home has been committed to providing healing and hope for vulnerable children and families. Our programs are designed to support children who have been victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment and trauma. We also work to preserve single parent families who have experienced similar challenges. Through quality residential care, counseling and other supportive services, we work to ensure our residents understand that their past trauma doesn't define them. Our legacy of transformed lives dates back to 1904, when we were established by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church as a ministry to widows and orphans. Since 1932, we have accomplished our mission from a 17-acre campus in Denton, Texas. Today, we operate as a secular nonprofit. We embrace residents and staff from all spiritual backgrounds, but we seek to convey love and the importance of healthy relationships, healing and hope in all that we do.
