Big Brothers Big Sisters of the West Island facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential through the power of mentoring. Many children and youth in Canada struggle with societal barriers and face adversities in their lives that through no fault of their own, increase the risk that they will not have opportunity to live up to their full potential. This comes at a cost to the young person and to society.With the guidance and support of a mentor, these risks can be reduced or even avoided, and youth are reminded they can be anything they dream of being. Our mentoring programs currently support over 200 kids ranging between the ages of 5-16 in the West Island of Montreall. We have aspirations to add 50 more children in our 50th anniversary year in 2025. Your donation wouldn go directly to funding and supporting these programs.
