B More Global
B More Global
Our program serves the students of Baltimore City Public Schools with priority financial support for students who qualify as economically disadvantaged. Our participants engage in a year of culturally-rich extracurricular programming culminating in a subsidized study abroad experience to spark a lifetime of interest in foreign cultures and a commitment to become changemakers in their communities and beyond. We work with school-based staff at our partner schools to prepare them to deliver the curriculum and lead students on the study abroad trip. Students at the participating school complete an application to participate in the program and are required to meet certain academic and behavioral standards to maintain travel eligibility. While any Baltimore City Public School student who adheres to the academic and behavioral contract may participate in the programming, students must also be categorized as ā€œeconomically disadvantagedā€ in order to receive a scholarship for the international study component of the programming. The program is then delivered to students through weekly lessons over the next 5 months, leading up to their travels. Each week, students complete a different lesson and activity aimed at building their capabilities as global citizens and change agents.
