We are a non profit organisation run by a small group of volunteers. We are based in Edinburgh and re-home dogs mainly in the central belt of Scotland however we have re-homed further afield as the adopter and dog were perfectly matched. We rely solely on donations from adoptions and fundraising events so that we can ensure that a dog is healthy and up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered, given worm/flea treatment and that they are treated for any illnesses before re-homing. 

The rescue started because of the significant increase in animals being advertised 'free to a good home' on free ad sites. Most of the time the checks that need to be carried out to ensure the dog is safe, does not get done on these free sites/social media. Due to this, unfortunately many dogs do not end up in the 'loving environment' that people are led to believe they are going to. We try to help as many dogs as we can. The majority of our dogs come from pounds up and down the country who are due to be put to sleep. We assess every dog that is in our care so we can place them into the most suitable home and carry out home checks before an adoption can take place. Our dogs are adopted having been health checked, vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered (or with support for post adoption neutering) and all owners sign an adoption contract so that if the dog ever had to be re-homed the dog would be returned to our care.
