The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation was established in 2004 by Stephanie Alexander AO – much loved Australian cook and food writer – as a way of supporting children and young people to have a positive and preventative health education through hands on kitchen and garden classes.Linked to the Australian curriculum, the Program supports cross-curriculum learning in STEM/STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics), English, health and physical education, and cultural studies, while simultaneously improving food literacy and behaviour, strengthening social skills, connecting children to nature and building a sense of belonging at school. If you share our vision for seeing healthy children and young people living in sustainable communities across Australia, please support our Foundation so that we can continue enabling children and young people to form positive food, health, wellbeing and sustainability habits for life.
