Young people in our community need you more than ever. Sadly, suicide remains the leading cause of death among young people, with 1 in 4 feeling lonely all or most of the time. Imagine just how life-changing it can be for young people to have a trusted, independent adult to talk to – someone who shows up each week, just for them. Raise Foundation partner with schools across Australia to provide young people with a caring adult mentor. We train mentors in the community and then pair them with a young person. Since 2008 we have delivered 867 early intervention youth wellbeing programs right across Australia. We've recruited, screened and trained over 7200 volunteers to become youth mentors. These incredible, everyday people show up week after week as an independent, caring and trusted mentor. Together we've been upstream to support over 10,700 young people. Every program is managed by our qualified counsellors who oversee the smooth, safe and successful delivery of our programs.
