We are a new nonprofit that has been working on improving life for birds. Our nonprofit status is new this year but we are not new to the rescue world. We help parrots of all types, and even the occasional pigeon or hawk. 

We often work with birds who have been abused or neglected. As a rescue we accept surrenders and understand that our surrenders come from many aspects of life and are ultimately looking for what’s best for the bird. 

We have birds of various species available for adoption, and all adoptees have to go through an application process. 

We educate our local community by safely bringing birds to pet friendly events. When invited into organizations such as local schools and nursing homes, we use this opportunity to  both socialize the birds and introduce people to them through hands on interaction. 

Donations help cover the costs of care for the birds we are helping. Birds require fresh foods, nuts and pellets. Food costs alone for 1 month at NETARR run approximately $1,200. 

Special care has to be provided for cleaning and sanitizing as many cleaners will kill a bird due to their sensitive respiratory system. 

Regular nail trims and beak trims are needed as well as vet care, sometimes life saving, emergency services. 

Currently there are 65 birds in our care.
