Mon Search and Rescue are the only lowland Search and Rescue team in Wales, based on the island of Anglesey. The team are tasked by North Wales Police to search for high-risk missing people and available 24/7/365 to provide specialist search and medical teams to search for vulnerable people who, for example, may be suicidal, depressed or living with dementia.  All our team members are local unpaid volunteers, highly dedicated and trained and qualified in various search and rescue techniques. The team is totally self-funding and relies on public donation and grants to provide this vital emergency service to the communities of North Wales and its visitors.
