Australian based NFP organisation operating in Egypt. Our mission is dedicated to advocating and facilitating free culturally appropriate and trauma-informed mental health support for child refugees affected by conflict and violence in Palestine and Sudan. We are committed to providing a healing space that respects their experiences and fosters resilience, enabling them to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. We also aim to provide in-kind assistance and financial aid to women and child refugees who are most disadvantaged. Children exposed to armed conflict are at high risk of developing: *Severe and Moderate Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)*Anxiety *Depression *Chronic stress *Suicide ideations *Attachment disorders *Learning and cognitive disorders Our campaign encompasses four interconnected projects: health, dignity, stability, and preservation, addressing the critical needs of refugees. Egypt, bordering Sudan and the Gaza Strip, has seen an influx of refugees facing profound challenges, including limited access to healthcare, education, and employment. By focusing on these areas, Kandakē Projects aims to provide comprehensive support and foster resilience among the most vulnerable populations.
