Through our turbulent times, the resource hub offers stability and support for people who find themselves at the sharpest end of the housing crisis in London and Coventry. While in-door building space has become a rare commodity in our post-pandemic world, the JCT hub is a flexible, person-centered approach to providing crisis support in a warm, safe and welcoming environment. This has involved much creativity, strategic partnership building, and a lot of hard work. But the transformation has enabled the team to focus on the two things that matter the most: helping people find a place to call home and doing this in a way that dignifies and focuses on the individual. I really needed the space to sit down and plan how to get out of my situation and for someone to point me in the right direction The London hub is based in Westminster, a part of the city where the scale of homelessness is uniquely challenging, and Coventry in the City Centre. Undeterred by the magnitude of the crisis, the JCT REACT teams have a mission to address the issues one person at a time. Importantly, this done in collaboration with others and in partnership with the individual. Support includes practical help ranging from showers, meals, and care packages to intensive housing casework. JCT is a static support offer, the hub delivers a programme of dynamic services tailored around individual needs and working to fill gaps in local provision. The goal is to never duplicate, but always complement and enhance existing services. Your financial support will go towards running the resource hub, supporting up to 20 homeless and vulnerably housed people a day.
