Ten Dollars buys very little in our modern world. In Australia maybe a coffee and a cake. It is an amount most of us can afford.

Humanity in Need started with a dream of 1,000 people giving $10 a month to help us save lives in Kenya. Since then we've grown and our vision is not only saving lives but advocating for a world where hatred and discrimination of people based on their race or their sexuality is no longer part of the human story.

As the Dalai Lama says be kind always. This is not however the experience of LGBTIQ people in Africa. We can change that. Please stand with Humanity in Need - Rainbow Refugees as we advocate for and support queer folk fleeing hatred and injustice and isolation from family, friends and their own countries. Please help us the violence that sees many die of their injuries and others left disabled. Men, women, children and trans people have the same right to life and freedom as anyone else.

LGBTIQ people are often persecuted by people of religious faith who consider they are sinners and somehow less than human. Yet the Bible says: If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. 1 Corinthians 12:26
