Galaxy Reptile Rescue is an Ottawa-based rescue focusing on reptiles with medical needs. Our vision is to see a world inspired with compassion and respect towards all animals. We will get there by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming exotic pets in need, and encouraging respect towards them through advocacy and education of the public.Sadly, with their unique needs, the majority of our intakes have significant medical concerns. Most often, our animals come from people whom are well-intentioned and simply misguided or misinformed. Unfortunately, it's the animals that pay the price. That's why our advocacy efforts are so important. We are also in the process of registering as a charitable organization. This will allow us to take further steps in partnering with other organizations and businesses to help educate even more people. When we know better, we can do better.We believe strongly in enriched environments, proper nutrition, and regular veterinary care. We provide the best to all of our animals, and work with a team of experienced veterinary professionals. The funds we raise will go directly towards veterinary expenses and on-going day-to-day care of our fosters.
