The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre are an animal rescue Charity established in 1986 to rescue and rehome cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs. We have helped over 25,000 animals and rehome about 1,000 a year. We operate across West Sussex and Eastern Hampshire. We have 51 cat pens in our 6,000 sq ft. rehoming and veterinary centre, 30 indoor rabbit and guinea pig pens and over 20 outside rabbit runs together with 7 rabbit compounds. We provide a subsidized neutering service through a voucher scheme with local Veterinary Practices and we are the only local Centre that will trap, neuter and release Feral Cats to help restrict the growth of population. We see our essential role within the community to help the guardian and the animal. Raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and be there for people and animals when they most need help. Many of our communities are elderly and we see our work as essential in not only by rescuing unwanted animals but helping those most vulnerable people benefit from adopting or fostering an animal companion. We do more than ever need donations to ensure we can continue our path of saving valuable animals, as we believe all animals have the right to live no matter if they are domesticated or feral. After having to close down our centre and shops to protect the public due to Covid, we have had to change our ways in the adoption process and we are in need of funds to ensure the survival of our charity and to be able to continuously take in stray and unwanted animals.
