The mission is "Healing Dogs and Their People."  Be Like Henry donates critically needed supplies to struggling shelters across the country.  To date we have donated over 450,000 lbs. of food, over 200 shelter beds, and thousands of dollars in kennels/crates/toys/medical supplies.  After national disasters like the hurricane in Nashville, we shipped supplies to reopen the only spay/neuter vet practice in the area.  We donated funds to build a kennel at the Domestic Violence Shelter at the YWCA in Nashville, TN so that victims of abuse can leave horrific situations and bring their animals with them to safety.  So far, 2 police districts have hotspot technology in their K9 vehicles from us so that their dogs are protected in heat/cold.

For those who dedicate their lives to these dogs, we have a mental health initiative dedicated to reducing suicides in veterinary practices and shelter environments.  We send recognition gifts and write monthly notes of affirmation.  The goal is to make those in the trenches feel SEEN and HEARD.  An outpouring of thank you notes attests to the efficacy of this program.

Requests begging for help with food come in daily and we need funds to continue to say "yes" to them.
