From ballroom to ballet, traditional to cultural, contemporary to circus our job is to meet the needs of our sector which, during COVID, have been extraordinary. 95% of our community lost 100% of their income and a significant majority were not eligible for stimulus payments. Our members also teach children, teenage and adult students in a wide range of community and technical dance activities. We estimate nearly 50,000 students have been affected directly. We require support to provide these services including; COVID management/resources and advocacy, direct member services, development of robust policies/resources for the entire dance community and community-building across the dance ecosystem from grassroots to professional companies.
