Adelaide Mbale Children's Health Fund was established in 2007 in collaboration between a Ugandan nurse / midwife and an Adelaide based nurse. Together they had a vision to improve the health outcomes for children in the Mbale region of Uganda. Our Program works with disadvantaged families and their children in eastern Uganda through the following projects; - Health Outreach across 28 remote villages raising awareness and empowering people to take action for healthier outcomes for their children. Topics include malaria, diarrhoeal diseases, family planning, women's health, positive parenting) - Children's Health Clinic which provides essential services, medicines and a referral mechanism for disadvantaged families and their children - Children's program which supports one child a month reach necessary health care In the past 11 years, we have... - Supported more than 150 children reach life saving medical treatment - Employed and trained 7 health workers to conduct health outreach work across 28 remote villages - Supported more than 450 disadvantaged people access an affordable health service Please support our goal to improve health outcomes for children and their families in Mbale, Uganda!
