Why does my donation go to PayPal Giving Fund?

PayPal Giving Fund (ABN 65 106 950 945) is a Public Ancillary Fund and charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission that makes online giving a part of everyday ecommerce activity. PayPal Giving Fund do this by enabling donors to support their favourite causes across a number of platforms, including MyGivingCircle. PayPal Giving Fund receives donations from users as charity of record on these platforms and provides the donation receipt to donors. We then grant the funds to the charity recommended by the donor, per our Donation Delivery Policy.

How can I request a refund for a donation?

Donations to PayPal Giving Fund are generally non-refundable. If your donation was made in error, or was not authorised by you, refer to PayPal Giving Funds Donation Refund Policy to learn more.

How can I request a receipt for my donation from PayPal Giving Fund?

PayPal Giving Fund provides a donation receipt for every donation, this is sent direct to each donor’s email. If you cannot locate a donation receipt, please reach out to PayPal Giving Fund customer support; a copy of your original donation receipt will be resent within 7 working days of the request being made.

When I donate, how and when does the charity get the money?

When PayPal Giving Fund receives a donation it grants the funds to the charity recommended by the donor, per its Donation Delivery Policy.

To check if your donation has been granted to your nominated charity, click “Track your donation” in your donation receipt or alternatively you can enter the Transaction ID from your donation receipt in our donation tracker.

PayPal Giving Fund distributes donations to recommended charities, typically within 45 days (or 90 days if the charity has not enrolled). In the rare event PPGF can’t fund your chosen charity, it will (whenever possible) ask you to recommend another charity, and if you don’t respond, it will reassign the funds to a similar charity.
