"L'Arche in the world is a big and united family of more than 180 communities and projects in 37 countries in all continents. For almost 60 years, we have been creating spaces of friendship where people with and without intellectual disabilities share their experiences and learn from each other's visions of the world. Musa from Kenya for example teaches us how to embrace cultural diversity during his trip to Paris: https://youtu.be/4ST39z3tCvM

This year L'Arche Australia has decided to support our friends from L'Arche Kenya.

At L'Arche, we love meeting other communities. But friendship extends also in our solidarity with each other. L'Arche Kenya was founded in 2008. Today, they run two homes, five production workshops and 5 occupational workshops for 33 adults with disability. They also run an outreach program for 800 beneficiaries. It offers support in education, vocational training, disability advocacy, employment services, medical and therapy services and social integration for people with disabilities including children, youth and adults.

This program has increased awareness and inclusion in a country where people with intellectual disability are culturally stigmatized and are associated with curses on the part of the parents having committed a wrongdoing to God or their ancestors.

To help L'Arche Kenya, L'Arche Australia would like to offer them 2 motorbikes so they can continue their wonderful outreach program and increase their impact for a more inclusive society. And you, would you like to support this global network of friends of L'Arche? "
