Vale Wildlife Hospital is one of the UK's largest wildlife rehabilitation hospitals, treating over 7,500 patients every year. We are situated in Beckford, near Tewkesbury GL20 7AN. The hospital is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Our running costs are currently over £60,000 every month (£1,972 per day) and we receive no government funding so rely solely on the generosity of our fantastic supporters to help us to continue to help Britain's wildlife.

The UK’s wildlife faces more problems today than ever before and unfortunately, most of these problems are caused by people. A vast majority of the casualties we treat at Vale Wildlife Hospital have sustained their injuries through coming into contact with humans: road traffic accidents, cat and dog attacks, fence injuries, mower and strimmer incidents, habitat loss, building work, new roads, snares, the list is endless. Some people say that injured wildlife should be left alone, we shouldn’t interfere but should ‘let nature take it’s course’. We would agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment if indeed the problems encountered by our wildlife were ‘natural’ but very few are, and we believe that everyone has a duty to try to put right the damage that humans are doing.
